Treasure Fingers -

Lifelike seems to be dominating my blog, he just released his new remix of Treasure Fingers.

This DJ has been all the rage with his funky disco mixes. Lifelike adds the French touch with the remix, making this song a must have. His most recent single 'Cross the Dancefloor' is a banger

Keedz - Stand on the Word

*now which choir looks more likely to have sung this song?

I'm sure you all remember and maybe still be a big fan of D.A.N.C.E by Justice. Well I recently discovered a song that a lot of uniformed bloggers were saying was a new song leaked by Justice. They later learned that they made a big mistake. The song, even though some say it very much resembles D.A.N.C.E (which is true) is still really damn good, a soulful electro, deep bass line, makes it a song that worth having for that dance party, even if they did jack justice's sound...

Nonetheless, you don't see the millions of indie or pop groups complaining over nearly identical songs (or if they do we don't listen)....so I dunno, its pretty damn close but hell, Justice hasn't had a new song in forever, so I'll take what I can get.

The song "Stand on the Word" is performed by Celestial Choir and is full of religious rigamaroo and mixed by Keedz.

Get on this hot gem,

So continuing to search for songs by remixers that we never seem to know about .. I came across another Freemasons remix. After hearing the first 5 seconds of the song, its obvious that the Freemasons have their hands in the song. You know the traditional piano chords and retro sound that their are famous for mixed with Xavier italo disco synth pop to make a real hot song. It's a cover of George Benson Classic Anthem (fyi)

Xavier is a male house vocalist from New York. Full of soul, this artist released his first single Give Me Tonight in 2005 on Virgin and was produced by Baggydaddy of the Scissor Sisters. He has later gone to release an EP titled XXX.

It's late babe, on a lonely Sunday Night

Your home alone, drinkin a glass of wine in your room, maybe listening to music on the computer, our lounging on your bed... you don't really have anyone to talk to ...the next thing you know, you hear this infectuous funky anthem and you swear that your "music is talking" to you, literally, its speaking to you. And once again you wish it was the weekend, a night out....

* replace wine with a bowl of cereal and a friendly penguin

Roland Clarke (male vocals) has teamed up with the rather well known Danish group Morjac or AKA the Montanas. This infectuous disco house soon to be anthem is remixed by the talented French Disco DJ/Producer Fred Falke who began as a bassist and who later has remixed a shitload of songs and worked with the likes of Alan Braxe, Daft Punk etc

Roland Clarke & The Montanas - Music Talking (Fred Falke Remix)

Bonus Fred Falke gem, less vocal but very your french house disco bumpin' song that everyone will want to dance to (Pjaano watch the f*ck out!- and yes I like it better )

Digitalism - Pogo (Shinichi Osawa Full Vocal Remix)

The electro-indie duo, Digitalism, is made up of Jence Moelle and Isi Tüfekçi. Bouncin out from Hamburg Germany, this group produces deep thumping electro beats that has been blowing away crowds at festivals like South by Southwest and Coachella. They are signed to French label Kitsuné.

Their fourth single Pogo was released in 2008. Some of you electro fans might have this song but unless you have the Moshi Moshi Ep (which was only released in Japan) you probably don't have the full vocal version with the amazing remix by Shinichi Osawa, Japanese DJ.

New Change!

I have decided to change things up a bit on the blog, while hopefully making you more happy and me more happy. So what does that mean I'm doing? I am hoping to post a song a day which will allow you to get a fresh song every day instead of 5 once every once in awhile. It makes the task of updating the blog (even though I do love doing it) less time consuming for me each day as well. Somedays I add a bonus song if I have time. Granted I might miss a day here and there as well, but I'll make it up to you. promise!

So for this Friday your tune is not a recent song in comparison to most of the things I post but its a remix I have never heard by the Freemasons (maybe I'm just lost) This song is a real summer anthem

my legs, my nose, my back, my toes, my arms, my eyes, my breasts, my thighs

Finally a new post......

Okay sorry to all, I've been outta control busy, but things are calming down (for the moment)

Not to worry though, cause I've been listening to music like crazy still and have a bunch songs for you all to sample. And these songs aren't your average dance songs, to be honest I've become somewhat tired of a lot of house/dance music that sounds soooo similar. This blog is all about different kinds of good groovin music, cause hell, we need cutting edge music no?

I'm really on this French disco house kick right now, you know the whole Alan Braxe Fred Falke, thing...

Another Dj who just keeps producing damn good remixes is Lifelike (another Parisien)

Bio:
Name: Laurent Ash
Age : 30s
Location : Paris
Sex Appeal : HOT

I'm nearing the point that I might just want to tattoo his name on my ass, really....so this first post will be all about that..getting you to want to tattoo his name on your ass too

First up is a blazin remix that has been on repeat on my ipod for a couple days now, about time you do it too

An older remix by Lifelike and in my opinion one of his best titled "This Boys In Love" is a necessary addition to your music library. The Presets with the help of Lifelike have an electronic 80's gem rolled up and ready for the dancefloor. The beat is hypnotic..
The Presets - The Boy's In Love (Lifelike Remix)

You all know Supermal and their recent song with Luciana (Bigger Than Big). A recent song of their's recently caught my eye and again remixed by the lovely Lifelike, this song fits right into your collection of electronic french house..

Super Mal - Light Years (Lifelike Remix)

Another classic which is actually produced by Lifelike and Kris Menace (and probably Lifelike's biggest commercial success) is Discopolis. The best remix by far is by A Hundred Birds. The song was featured a year or two ago on the Hed-Kandi Nu Cool album. Hot disco beats and with a bit of classic music, somehow they found a way to put the 2 together to make in my opinion one of the best house tracks around.

Last up on the Lifelike kick (for the moment) is remix of a song by the group Demon. I know very little about this group except that they are on one of the same labels as Lifelike. Nonetheless this is another Lifelike gem, so if you like any of the other songs, you'll be sure to like this one.
